The 2nd Young Translator Candidates Competition will be held by the Presidency of Atatürk Culture Centre on 18 October 2025. The competition is open to the participation of
final year students who will be studying at undergraduate level in Translation and Interpreting, Translation Studies and Language and Literature departments in German, French, English, Persian and Arabic languages
Students who rank in the competition to be held in German, French, English, Persian and Arabic languages will be awarded with prizes and certificates of achievement. The competition will be held in Ankara on the 18th of October 2025,
in which you will be asked to translate a story by Ömer Seyfettin, one of the important representatives of contemporary Turkish storytelling, into German, French, English, Persian and Arabic.
The current Third-year students of our department who want to participate in the competition are kindly requested to contact Research Assistant Zeynep Melissa Seyfioğlu by 19 June 2025 for the application process and further details.
